What is Ultralight School?

Ultralight School is an educational umbrella project directed by Laurel Schwulst. It began last year, and it's primarily a summer school.

To learn more about ULS and its motivations, feel free to read our school's first transmission. You can also explore its first season, Summer 2025, which happened mostly in NYC!

What's going on this Summer 2026 in particular?

We are excited to offer again our class Sense to Sense — but this time it's hosted online rather than in-person. There will also be one *new* class in-person in New York City, the weekend of July 24-26 called Research as a Leisure Activity. Other happenings coming soon...

How can I stay updated on ultralight.school happenings etc.?

We recommend bookmarking this very website (ultralight.school) and subscribing to our our mailing list.

For what it's worth, we also sometimes update our Google Calendar, Are.na, Instagram, etc. in this way.
